Manipal Hospitals Brings Festive Cheer To Patients With Puja Parikrama And Movie Screening

Kolkata: Manipal Hospitals, one of India’s biggest and most reliable healthcare chains, has curated a special festive gift for its cancer survivorsPuja Parikrama 2025. The initiative is a heartfelt tribute to their resilience, courage, and vitality during Kolkata’s grandest celebration, Durga Puja.

Believing that care goes beyond treatment and follow-ups, the hospital group has thoughtfully crafted two heartfelt experiences. For those who may not have the physical strength to step out, there will be an exclusive cinematic extravaganza featuring a special screening of the much-anticipated film Raktabeej 2. Meanwhile, for those able to enjoy the city’s festive streets, a cultural parikrama will be organised on Panchami (27th September), covering Kolkata’s most iconic Durga Puja pandals. Doctors will accompany the participants during the parikrama, while stars of Raktabeej will join the audience at the screening, making the celebration even more memorable.

Through this initiative, Manipal Hospitals strives to remind patients that just as Goddess Durga overcame Mahishasura to restore hope, they too embody strength, resilience, and the power to overcome. The initiative is not only about celebration but also about unity, hope, and the joy of living.

Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Sourav Datta, Senior Consultant – Head and Neck Onco-Surgery & Director – Oncology, Manipal Hospital, EM Bypass said, “At Manipal Hospitals, we are privileged to witness extraordinary journeys every day, especially among our elderly cancer survivors who continue to fight with unmatched determination. Much like Goddess Durga symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, these survivors embody the triumph of life over disease. Puja Parikrama 2025 is our tribute to their strength – a celebration that goes beyond medicine, bringing cultural joy, togetherness, and hope. For us, this initiative is about honouring their spirit and reminding them, and all of us, that survival is not just about living longer, but living with dignity, happiness, and purpose.”

Manipal Hospitals remains dedicated not just to providing better healthcare but also to promoting the emotional and cultural well-being of its patients and community. This endeavour reflects the hospital’s vision that festivals are most joyous when every spirit is lifted.
